Seriously, the girls have been so wonderful to me lately. I don't know what I ever did to deserve to be so lucky. So I made a call last week and made an appointment, and today I got this.

I got it at Timeless Tattoo, where Deb got her werecat on her thigh and the dolphins across her chest. Deb saw Cap last time, but he's got a waiting list, like, a month long, so I took the new guy, Carlos. I wasn't really worried since it's a pretty simple tatt. But, man, it hurt like a mofo. You can't really tell from the picture, but it's got sort of a dark blue fill that emerges from the black outline of the letters. I didn't want it to be flat black. And I may have a little shadow effect done later, but I want to live with this for a while before I decide.

Now my arm hurts from the tattoo and the rest of my body feels bruised from the massage yesterday.

There were some basketball fans there getting a frigging school mascot tattoed on their asses. What is Maryland? The Terps? Yes, on their ass. Whatever. I never did like any of my schools that much.

Got Google searched today for "retarded shih tzus." I was one of ten results. I'd suggest that it's a redundant search, but I don't want to get in trouble.

Deb and I went for a walk with Angel before dinner and saw where a tree got pulled up and twisted around and fell on someone's garage a couple blocks over. We're talking big tree. Very fortunate that it didn't damage more. I think it had to have been one of those microbursts. The wind was really bad for a few minutes during the storm. I couldn't even see out our front windows because the rain was coming in so hard from that direction. But I don't think it was enough to rip up a tree that size. Had to be something more powerful. And speaking of raining buckets, guess what's leaking in the utility room? Yep. Same window they had trouble with before. Another phone call for Monday.

Dinner was absolutely fabulous. Deb stir fried zuccini, squash, mushrooms, scallops and shrimp and served it over home made pasta. I'm really hoping this becomes our traditional Easter dinner, because it rocked. I'll have to ask later what the herb was (I know it wasn't rosemary; it was the one with the little bitty round leaves). Deb's asleep beside me now. Followed it up with some of the cake Sara made me for my one-month smokeless anniversary yesterday. Deb made caramel Heath ice cream, too. I feel like it's my birthday. I even got to have some nice smooches with Sara after we finished washing dishes.
