We've had a busy weekend. Deb and I went out shopping for housewares and presents at about 11:00 this morning and got home at 3:00. We picked up a new lamp for the living room (Angel broke the shade of the last one, and it's a funky glass shade that we won't be able to find a replacement for), I got some shelves for the study so my computer table won't be so loaded with crap all the time (I hope), and we bought a new light fixture for the workers to install in the utility room.

But all that is boring. Here's what I wanted to tell you about. I was very remiss lately in not recording a pretty big moment in the family history. The removal of Jake's piercings. Jake's had her piercings for a while, maybe six or seven years. As anyone who's pierced (not me) knows, sometimes your body wants to force the piercings to the surface over time. That's what was happening with Jake's. And they had been problematic off and on, too. Nevertheless, she really was attached to them. (HAR! I kill me.) But they had to go.

So, we recorded their in-nipple status in the last days before removal.
