Much to my disappointment, I couldn't stay awake long enough to see Sara last night when she got home. I'd spent so much time on the computer my back was killing me. My arm woke me up a couple of more times. The good news is, Miguelito says if I lop it off, I'll have a whole stump-freak entourage following me around. Yah. Wonder what kind of Google hits I'll get now after mentioning that.

At Sara's request, tonight's meal will be comfort food centric, featuring lots of mashed potatoes. Yum. Deb really wanted to have some chocolate ice cream for the homecoming, too, but she was packing her day way too much, so I told her the chocolate chip cookies would be sufficient.

Am I right? Sure I am. If that's not enough for Sara, I'll see if I can't arrange a treat of a different kind, eh?

And finally, I'm posting this for Mangoes, who's having to do some difficult family stuff right now.

I think of her every time I see this house. We used to think it was bizarre, but then we heard the neighborhood lore surrounding it. Seems the woman who owned the house got a divorce and then took a trip to the Bahamas. When she returned, she painted her house this color to keep a little of that good Bahamas feeling with her. Now we think the house is fabulous.

So, Mangoes, here's your happy mango-color house.
