Badsnake: Dream, dream, dream

Molly: [sitting on pillow that I've shoved above my head] "MYEAAAAAAAAR" [loudness implied]

B: *wake* [barely], *swat* [totally miss]

M: Leaps off bed and gallops, in a way that only a grossly obese cat can, to the utility room where, by jumping up on a series of shorter things first, she'll sit on the cat table and wait for about 3.5 minutes for me to get up and come feed her.

B: Falls mostly back to sleep

If I'm not there in the alotted time, we start the process all over again. If this goes on long enough, Molly will start trying to swat me back, and she's not one of those polite cats who keeps her claws drawn in. Sometimes Deb gets in on the act, swatting at Molly for me, generally missing and hitting me instead.

I'm up at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday. All I remember of what I was dreaming, except that it was pretty good and I wish I could remember more, is a snatch of dialogue that goes, "Something something, something something something something, as if she'd birthed her." I totally blame my inability to finish or remember a dream on my cat. Sara has these beautifully plotted, novel length, exciting dreams.

And now that I'm up and thinking of Sara, I'll probably stay up until it's time for her to go to work, hoping to spot her before she climbs in her car. I'll run outside on some pretense like helping to scrape ice off of her car, and hoping to get a kiss (a slightly long tongue one if I'm lucky) in the bargain.
