Oh damn! I was afraid that Tara was not long for the series. When a girl can't make it into the opening credits, it's not a good sign. And to make her get the big brain scramble right after she and Willow have their first big fight? Now, Joss, that's just mean.

My best hope for Tara is that they let her go out in an unconsciously heroic blaze of glory. That's glory with a little "g", but the blazing Glory-with-a-big-G idea isn't too bad either.

I don't think they can use the "once the foe/bad guy/demon/god is conquered, all the damage they've done suddenly dissipates and everything goes back to the way it was" ploy here.

And I'm deeply sorry that they never developed Tara beyond the mousey, cowed character that she was. After the not-a-demon-after-all revelation, I wish she'd had a bigger, brighter breakout. Or at least get to smile without looking like she was afraid someone would hit her for it.

And Angel certainly had a lesson to teach last night. I hope you all paid very close attention. Skinny is BAD. People treat you like shit, and you can inadvertantly be sucked through portals because you just don't weigh enough to be grounded to this universe.
